This benchmark analyze the behaviour of 15 Direct-To-Consumers (DTC) brands in the Supplement industry. Our goal is to compare their marketing velocity (how active they are in their digital marketing strategy) and how to they perform vs. each other.

Email Marketing Performance: Rogue leads with 19 emails, demonstrating strong activity. Peloton follows with 17 emails but struggles with promotional engagement. Echelon and TRX Training sent 16 and 15 emails, respectively, with TRX Training excelling in engagement. Vanquish Fitness sent 13 emails but needs to improve promotional efforts. Ergatta and PRx Performance show moderate activity with 11 and 9 emails. Gymshark also sent 9 emails with decent engagement. FightCamp, The DB Method, and Tonal sent fewer emails and need to increase engagement. obé fitness, WIT Fitness, Wahoo Fitness, and Quell had no email activity and are lagging.
Email Deliverability and Spam Scores: Peloton excels in deliverability with a spam score of -5.1 and fair email size. Rogue also performs well with a score of -2.6 and a manageable size. PRx Performance shows good results with -2.19 and a compact email size. Echelon has a fair spam score but a good email size. Gymshark and FightCamp need to improve their email sizes despite decent spam scores. The DB Method and Tonal need to address their spam scores and sizes. Ergatta and TRX Training require significant improvements in both spam scores and email sizes to enhance performance.
Advertising Impact and Diversity: Gymshark dominates with 251 new ads and 63 unique copies, showing high activity and diversity. Vanquish Fitness and Peloton follow with 69 and 55 new ads, respectively, both performing well in ad diversity. Wahoo Fitness shows good ad activity but needs better copy diversity. Rogue is active with 37 new ads but can improve in uniqueness. Brands like Ergatta, Echelon, TRX Training, and PRx Performance need to increase both ad volume and diversity. The DB Method, obé fitness, Tonal, and Quell show minimal ad activity and need significant improvements in their advertising strategies.
In this table, we benchmark how many emails brands have send and their average email scores, which we calculate using over 50 datapoints that measure how much best practices are ensured (spam score, email authenticiation & certificates, email size, subject line lenght, word & links count etc.)
